GM #34

Linda from Studio L3 http://www.studiol3.blogspot.com/ ask us to create something utilizing Tim's Crackle Resist Technique: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43m8eiQZ3P0This is my GM#34:
I used Distress Crackle Broken China with walnut ink to distress the bird cage. I used distress crackle paint in rock candy over red dabber painted bird. The tag is from a real sheet of music distress with ink and then adhered to another tag. The heart was cut with two layers of corrugated cardboard and one layer of white card stock, stamped, dabber painted with red paint, distress with rock candy crackle and then stained with walnut ink. The seam binding with inked with distress inks. The jewelry finding came from broken jewelry. Tim's miniature tag was inked and stamped with a stamp from my stash. All other supplies are from Tim Holtz and Ranger.

Grungy Monday #33

Celebrating another week with Tim Holtz techniques and products!  Linda from Studio L3 has all the details on her blog. This week it's a technique challenge from 2008.
This is my challenge pendant using TH Facets, TH Adirondack Alcohol inks and TH Stampers Anonymous Floral Stamp. Almost forgot the most important part of this technique; Archival Black ink from Ranger ink.

Grungy Monday 32

Studio L3  http://www.studiol3.blogspot.com/  has a new challenge this week; a non-Christmas technique from Tim Holtz 12 tags 2011. I used Tim's 11th Day of Christmas http://timholtz.typepad.com/my_weblog/2011/12/12-tags-of-christmastag-11.html as my Grungy Monday #32 challenge.
This week is extra special, Simon Says Stamp (www.simonsaysstamp.com). will be giving a $25 gift certificate to one lucky person for Grungy Monday ~ #32.

I used distress inks, TH CMS 082 Love Struck stamp set, several Red Distress inks, Archival ink, embossing ink, embossing powder and other supplies from my stash.

To My Valentine

This little boy from Penny Black 1997 was inked, stamped and color with Copic. The background portion of the card was made using a Tim Holtz technique. The red heart was made using Tim Holtz magnetic movers and shapers die. The word "to my" is from Stamping Place.
I entered this card in a challenge over on OWSE yahoo group December 15-31. My card was drawn for a prize. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/OutlawWomenScrapbookEmporium/

Happy Birthday Tim Holtz

Linda from Studio L3 has invited us to make something for Tim Holtz to celebrate is birthday and Grungy Monday #31. Also added TH stamped images on the envelope. It should arrive at his home before Saturday.
Update 1-10-12: Tim posted birthday cards on his blog. I saw my tag just left of the car with Mickey, Tim and Mario. See it here: http://timholtz.typepad.com/my_weblog/2012/01/thanks-for-the-wishes.html

I used a variety of Tim Holtz supplies and products on this tag.
The P4-1088 is a mounted stamp I bought in 2007. This was my first time to use Snow Cap alcohol ink; I love it!
The background on the tag was made using Tim's technique from Day 7 2011: http://timholtz.typepad.com/my_weblog/2011/12/12-tags-of-christmastag-7.html
The tag looks best in real life. I have a lot of trouble taking photos of gold dabber paint. Maybe I should have snapped the photo without a flash.
Thanks for Looking!
