Happy Anniversary Card

This is a card I made for my aunt and uncle's 60th wedding anniversary. I used two of my most recent  Tim Holtz thinlits and watering can bigz dies. I also used Tim's tiny flower and leaf thinilits dies, these were made with distress papers while visiting my mother recently, she is the one that has Tim's tiny flower dies.
The background portion of card was made with my Gelli printing plate, stencils and acrylic paints. I wish my phone had taken a better photo of the Gelli paper, it looks a lot better in person. I didn't check until it was already mailed.
The words were made with brown manila folder from my stash. Distress ink was applied around all pieces including flowers and leaves. I used 3-d dots to apply watering can to card front. Glue n' Seal was used to apply die cuts to card front.
Finished piece: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

12 Tags of 2015 ~ June

I've had fun playing with the technique Tim shares this month; I used Tim's watering can Bigz die, tiny tattered flower and leaf dies, Kraft-core papers, paper string, simple sayings stamp, walnut stain distress ink, vintage photo distress ink, shabby shutters re-inker, stripes layering stencil, vagabond, tag die, star, loop pin, O-ring, small mini ink blending tool, spray bottle, glue n' seal and philosophy tag.
Also from my stash: burlap, seam binding, Manila paper, brown file folder and woven fiber paper. I had just enough woven fiber paper to make one watering can die cut.

You can see Tim's tag here: http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2015-june/

Happy Birthday Card

This is my first card using Tim Holtz bigz watering can die and script thinlits dies that came in the mail last week.
I love my new dies!
A tool from my stash was used to hold copper watering can die cut over flame to give it a one of a kind look. Hot glue gun was used to add trim on watering can, hot glue to card, and then hot glue flower to embossed folded card.

Finished size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Supplies:
Watering can TH Bigz die, TH Script thinlits dies, TH wild honey and walnut stain distress ink, vagabond, magnetic platform.
Copper and embossing folder from my stash.

I pre-ordered the tiny tattered flower thinlits dies for my mother it arrived this past April.  While visiting my mother this past weekend I made many die cut flowers. Yesterday, I curled and hot glued all the flower. The hot glue gun that worked the best was the tiny 10 watt.
