Linda from Studio L3 http://www.studiol3.blogspot.com/ ask us to create something utilizing Tim's Crackle Resist Technique: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43m8eiQZ3P0This is my GM#34:

I used Distress Crackle Broken China with walnut ink to distress the bird cage. I used distress crackle paint in rock candy over red dabber painted bird. The tag is from a real sheet of music distress with ink and then adhered to another tag. The heart was cut with two layers of corrugated cardboard and one layer of white card stock, stamped, dabber painted with red paint, distress with rock candy crackle and then stained with walnut ink. The seam binding with inked with distress inks. The jewelry finding came from broken jewelry. Tim's miniature tag was inked and stamped with a stamp from my stash. All other supplies are from Tim Holtz and Ranger.

This is my challenge pendant using TH Facets, TH Adirondack Alcohol inks and TH Stampers Anonymous Floral Stamp. Almost forgot the most important part of this technique; Archival Black ink from Ranger ink.

I used distress inks, TH CMS 082 Love Struck stamp set, several Red Distress inks, Archival ink, embossing ink, embossing powder and other supplies from my stash.

Technique Tuesday

It all started with TH Lost and Found double sided designer paper.

Example #1

Dry brush Liqutex iridescent pearlescent paint over the blue scrapbook paper.

White gesso over the iridescent paint.
This was done with a hit and miss technique with semi-dry brush of white gesso. Let dry.
Apply Distress Gathered Twig ink over the gesso,
with an inked foam blending tool, then spray with water and heat set to dry.
Apply Distress RipePersimmon ink over the gathered twig inked piece with an inked
foam blending tool, then spray with water and heat set to dry.
Apply Distress Aged Mahogany ink with an
inked foam blending tool, then spray with water and then heat set to dry.

I love the results of this and would never dream
it all started as Tim Holtz scrapbook paper if I hadn't done it myself.

In example #3; I sprayed Perfect Pearls Mist (Heirloon Gold) over example #2 tag and then heat set to dry.

In OWSE; Ellie asked: Beautiful colors! I am very curious whether it would turn out the same when you start on white CS?

This little boy from Penny Black 1997 was inked, stamped and color with Copic. The background portion of the card was made using a Tim Holtz technique. The red heart was made using Tim Holtz magnetic movers and shapers die. The word "to my" is from Stamping Place.

The P4-1088 is a mounted stamp I bought in 2007. This was my first time to use Snow Cap alcohol ink; I love it!

Still playing with my seasonal dies.
I bought the glitter used on this reindeer after making my 2011 12 tags of Christmas; Day #1 Noel. This glitter is not as fine but does well for art projects. I bought it from Hobby Lobby.

I used some of Tim's techniques from 12 days of Christmas Day 8 on this tag.

Supplies:
Wendy Veachi; Visions of Art LCS052 and Tim Holtz; Papillon CMS 106 stamp set from Stampers Anonymous.
Tim Holtz Elegant Flourishes die cut and Tattered Florals was used with pattern tissue from my sewing stash. They were inked with the festive berries ink pad. Alcohol ink was used to color the button in center of flower.
Festive berries, evergreen bough and walnut ink pads were used on this tag as well as white dabber paint.

I made this little piece from viewing Tim's blog; Day 11 of Christmas Tags 2011.
I used my Ranger Heat tool on the gingerbread man. He looks so cute! I used alcohol inks and then white dabber paint on the back of gingerbread man.
I shrunk the tree, snowman and the two deer from Tim's dies. They turned out so cute!!!

Day 11 Old Jolly Santa

Well, the 12 days of Christmas Tags are alnost over and here comes old jolly Santa!
I have these stamps and have been waiting to see how Tim used them.

I was having problems with my Suze melting pots. After 2 hours the pot was still not ready. So then,
I used my Ranger Heat Tool to shrink and cover the holly with UTEE.
Over on Ranger group, I was told if had the melting pot plugged in with other things it wouldn't work as well. Thank you Ellen from Holland.
Vic told me if I was using a new pan that was my problem. I removed the pan and added the UTEE to the melting pot and now it works perfect. Thank You Vic!!

My shrink plastic holly was made with a Sizzix "Leaves, Holly w/Berries" die. This die has a seperate vein down the center. Using plain paper you can really see the vein opening. But when shrink plastic shrinks it leaves a detail in the leaf that is unique.
I missed the photo of Tim placing white dabber under the leaves. And in the photos above you see a bit of white near the leaves, it's not on the tag.
I love the look you get when you add alcohol ink to clear stones. I bought my clear stones/bling at Hobby Lobby, you can buy them by the 100's and more in crafts.
The rest of the items on my tag were made using Tim Holtz, Stampers Anonymous and Ranger products.

Day 6 Christmas Tag

This is my Day 6 tag using my color selection of dabber paint.

I used Tim's embossing folder, dabber paint, sanding block, MS seam binding, clear embossing powder, walnut distress ink, adornments (wreath) and O rings from my stash.
I covered my tag with metal duck tape instead of the metal tape Tim used. After it was embossed the seams disappeared.

I made this

tag while DH was watching TV this evening using some of the same supplies made

for the red tag above. I used several blue colors of alcohol inks, white dabber paint on the wreath and trimmed it with gold dabber paint.

I used gold metallic craft cord purchased many years ago and seam binding for the tie.

Day 4 Snowman

This is my Day #4 Snowman
It took several hours for the distress rock candy crackle paint to dry on the grungeboard snowman. I made several background tags before I was pleased with the results. I didn't have that many blue distress stains to use on this piece so the colors are a bit off compare to Tim's. I painted a button with aqua dabber paint. Added beads instead of clear button at the bottom. Added a braid on the hat and a miniature ribbon rose that was tinted with distress stains to tie it together. Love the clear on the edge die "snowflake" used on this piece.

Day 3 Seasons Greetings

Let me tell you this has been one long day. We had our company Christmas party today. I was starting this tag late in the day by the time we got home.
I was doing pretty good and then it happened. I was putting the holly sprig together with hot glue. The hot glue got one my fingers and without thinking I touched my other hand and had hot glue on both hands and fingers. Ouch! It's my first accident I've had with hot glue. I was pulling off the hot glue and skin came with it. It was in ice water and now have cooling gel on my fingers and hands to finish this tag.

So happy I had the Cut n' Dry stamp pad felt on hand. I recall seeing Tim do this technique when he was on Carol Duvall Show many years ago.
I made due with the Distress reinkers I had on hand and stamped on Kraft cardstock.
I followed the instructions Tim used but finished the sprig using Silhouette digital cut images. I used alcohol inks on bling. (red berries)

Day 2 Merry Christmas

This is my tag for Day 2 of Tim's 12 days of Christmas tag. I used his techniques but used what I had to finish my tag.

I used Sticky back canvas on my reindeer die cut. I made the wreath from a stem found at my hobby store.

The background layer started out with Tim's Kraft Resist Paper. I used Tim's "Christmas Memories #118" from Stampers Anonymous and a Hearts in Touch stamp "Christmas Time. #77." A on the edge die; "Ornate" was used with grunge board and then painted with dabber paint. Tim's hammer was used on the brads.

The poinsettia was inked, embossed, painted and then the tag was sprayed with perfect pearls mist.

Reindeer Tag

I was inspired to make this tag using silver tape to a file folder and then die cut the reindeer and snowflake. Alcohol inks and an texture fades embossing folder were used on the reindeer. Alcohol inks on snowflake. The music paper was applied to tag. Trees were inked and stamped with TH stamps and newest Seasonal inks. Art Glitter glue was used to apply red ultra fine beads on the TH holly stamp.
Something that doesn't show; iridescent flakes on the foreground and on the snowflake.

Grungy Monday #28

Linda from Studio L3 asked us to do a Tim Holtz technique for this challenge. You are asked to use alcohol inks, foil tape and a little imagination. Tim altered a beautiful pumpkin.
I used Tim Holtz snowflakes embossing folder, blue and silver alcohol inks, reindeer die cut, black paint dabber, snowflake die cut, on the edge die, Tim's tag die, metal foil tape, glitter and a trinket from Prima on a seam binding.
The snowflake doesn't show in this photo: it's white with glitter. The reindeer was painted with black dabber to give a silhouette look.

Turkey Two

This is my second turkey. I placed the rosettes in my Color Catcher and

sprayed them with Walnut Ink Antique Solution by Tsukineko.

The head of the turkey was made with designer paper and then inked with distress inks.

The orange portion of the turkey was made with orange file folders. Hot glue gun was used to adhere the piece together.

I got a new texture fade Christmas embossing folder set in the mail yesterday. Here is a tag I made using one of the strips from the embossing folder with a snowman die cut and snowflake. A variety of distress inks and dabber paints were used on the tag.

I had a fabulous time with my mother over the week-end. We used some of our new inks and stamps. We went to Michaels and found a good buy. They had Christmas stamps; cling and mounted half price plus -25% off. We bought a few Hero Arts, Stampendous and Recollections stamps. We each made five new Christmas cards. I'll share those in the coming weeks.

This is one of the tags I made over the weekend.

This tag was made using Tim Holtz new Christmas stamps along with one of his new ink pads.(Iced Spruce.) The two stamped images on the tag was inked and clear embossed. The angel was cut-out and added with foam dots. I used the new Festive Berries to color the seam binding tie. Love the crackle stamp from this set!

I made a mask using TH idealogy mask sheet and then inked Tim's airplane with blue StazOn ink. Next I used white dabber on a TH stamps, heat set and then inked another TH stamp over the entire tag with black soot. With the mask on I added two of Tim's distress inks to color the tag.
Tim added embossing ink and powder to his tag. I didn't think this one needed that.
And then I added my finishing touches;
Inked the "enjoy the journey" and bird on the fence with black Stazon.
Inked, stamped, and cut out one of Tim's clocks, punched a hole in the center and then added the spinner pointing at the airplane.
Seam binding added to top.

I used inks from new fall seasonal ink pads on the seasonal reflections cling stamps.

The black die cut images are from my Silhouette digital craft cutter.
This is one of those techniques that looks best in real life. The scanner doesn't show the sheen from the perfect distress.

Dress Form Collage

We were with my Mother over the week-end. We spent some of our time at her table having fun with our stamps, Tim Holtz die cuts, stamping supplies and my original Silhouette machine.

The base of this piece was made gluing 2 pieces of cardboard and a piece of card stock. Finished piece 5" x 7."

This is a Tim Holtz inspired piece I made on Saturday.
The dress form was cut using corrugated cardboard. It was stained with distress stains. I didn't take my bird cage die but did take some die cuts. I used a yellow bird cage and then painted the cage with silver dabber paint.

I used die cuts, tissue tape, scrapbook paper, distress stains, dabber paints, a stamp and other supplies in my stash.

While cutting the witch with my Silhouette I was inking and stamping the background. I used Tim's cling mounted stamps with two of Tim's new seasonal ink pads.

Mini Book

Sharing a page from my mini-book.
Each page was made using cardboard covered with cardstock.
The pages were made with Baroque die cuts. McGill Adjustable Paper Drill was used to cut holes in the pages.
Steampunk texture fades and Vintage distress inks was used on this page.
Stamp a vintage script to a piece of cardstock and then die cut one of Tim's Labels. It was enhanced with vintage distress ink.
Stamp the script on white cardstock and then adhered to grungeboard; then die-cut Tim's bird. Highlight the bird with several distress inks.
Crumble Tim Holtz Kraft paper and then die cut using Tim's flower die. I used three of the die cuts stacked up and then punched a hole in center and then attached a brad and bling to center of flower. A die cut key hole was made with thin black fun foam and then adhered to front.
A film strip with my Silhouette Digital Machine was cut with black paper.

“Embossed Tiles”

Apply light modeling paste to a piece of canvas.
Apply a stamp into the paste while still wet, lift off and then clean stamp with an old toothbrush.

Note: adding the right pressure to the stamp takes practice.

Allow this to dry.
Wet the surface of the Light Modeling Paste piece with a paint brush.
Start dropping transparent colors of paint onto the piece. Bright color family works best for this technique. If you have enough water on the piece the colors will spread like magic to look like embossed tiles. You will leave some areas light in color.
Let this dry.
Rewet the surface and then add gold iridescent paint to the white areas.
Allow this to dry.
Coat the surface with Clear Tar Gel using a palette knife and allow this to dry thoroughly.

Halloween Mini Book

I used a few stamps, a Tim Holtz die cut on cover and the rest from Silhouette digital craft cutter. To shade and tint the scrapbook pages I used Tim Holtz Distress inks, The Paper Studio; Trick or Treat Sticker Pack with glitter. The book was put together with my Bind-it-All.
Finished book: 4 3/4" x 5.5."

Those are rubber stamped feet in the cauldron. I cut a slit in the pot and inserted the legs inside. The tiny skull is a stamped image as well. The green looking stuff in the pot was black just like the pot. It was painted with Adirondack Snow Cap Dabber Paint, Adirondack Lettuce Dabber Paint and then distressed with Tim Holtz Distress inks.

TH Alterations tree folder with distress ink pad in a circular pattern before running it through die cutting machine. Love the details from it.
The spiders were stamped with black ink, rock candy stickles on the body of spider.
Tag and pumpkins were ink and a foam applicator with distress ink was used to color.

This week I used Tim Holtz stamps, Dabber paints, Distress re-inkers and idea-ology. If you don't recognize the grungy b it's from Tim's alphabet foam stamp set sold several years ago.

Distress Stain Tag

I made this tag for a challenge over on OWSE. For this challenge you had to use Tim Holtz Distress Stain from Ranger.
I made the background using a technique I saw Tim use at the winter cha. It's the technique where you place several colors of distress stain down on craft sheet and drag the tag through the inks. I did this and then sprayed it with a fine mist to make the colors bleed together.
I inked Tim's papillon stamp with archival black over the distress stain. On a seperate piece of paper I stamped an image from Above the Mark using archival black. I used Tim's magnetic butterfly die with Tim's Kraft Resist from paper stash and then inked it with Distress Stain. Before applying the butterfly to the stamped and cut out image I added Ranger's Liquid Pearls dimensional pearlescent paint to the body of the stamped butterfly on the stamped image. Three rhinestones were added to tag along with two idea-olgy pieces at the top with the seam binding.

I finally decided today was the day I was going to use my Distress Stains. I made this piece in a few minutes. It still needed something so I got out gold dabber paint and spread it over the foreground. Then stamped the bare tree. This little landscape is 3 7/8" x 3 7/8"
Do you see a small tree on the left? I didn't notice it until it was finished.

This is my Grungy Monday #15. I used supplies Tim suggest for my background. I finished my tag with a stamped image inked with StazOn on clear transparency. The advertisement on the bottom was cut from a vintage piece. Faux pearls added to wire and adhered to tag using Studio Matte as an adhesive. Word at top stamped with Archival black ink. Seam binding was scrunched and inked with distress ink.

Grungy Monday #13 The Journey

For my GM-13 card I used two of Tim's stamps, his clock die, his distress ink, Ranger's archival black ink and Ranger's Alcohol inks.
The inside of the clock was alcohol inked and stamped with bird image.
The clock die was cut with a piece of heavy duty file folder. The file folder was so dense that I had to run the clock die through the Vagabond machine four times. Isn't the color on the clock gorgeous. You might not can tell but the die cut has a marble finish. All I did was add a little bit of distress ink to the edges using brushed corduroy. The clock hands were distress with the brushed corduroy as well.
I used 3-D Zots to apply the clock to the base of card. Finished card: 4 5/8" x 6"
My daughter has an antique shop in Arkansas City, KS; she deals in antiques and vintage. From a recent auction she gave me a bundle of heavy duty file folders to use with my die cuts.
I'm a happy camper with all these new things to play with.

Button Tag

A border of ribbon was applied around the dusty concord distress stain tag. To further distress; I used Tim's mini sander.
Stamped image was inked on glossy cardstock with archival sepia ink and watercolor with watercolor crayons, adhere to black matte and then applied to tag.
The word perfection was inked to my new die cut and distress edges using (wild honey) distress ink.
The cuttlebug butterfly was cut with grungeboard and stained with distress wild honey distress stain. Bling was added to the body of the butterfly. Buttons were added to the base of the tag and on mini-rosette flower die cut. Fibers added to finish.

Grungy Monday 10

Here is my Grungy Monday 10 using Tim Holtz distress ink; this was a fun tag to make using many of his new dies along with stamp from my stash. A while back I shared a tag using a time card, here is another tag using a time card; although this one is solid with no holes. I love using these cards with my tag die and stamping supplies. I used a total of 7 dies with this tag.
The distress inks used on tag were Forest Moss, Wild Honey and Blue Sapphire. Archival Black on stamped images.
The bird was inked with black archival using a fun foam stamp made from Tim's die.
The mini rosette was made with gold envelope and then added a B from the new typeset die.
The little word tag on top is from a new die tiny tabs and tag

And to make it stand I added the easel. I love my easel die; it's perfect for displaying tags.

Linda from Studio L3 has posted one of Tim Holtz technique "Distress Color Ink Blocking" as our Grungy Monday challenge. Here is the technique over on Ranger website: http://www.rangerink.com/videos/videos_timColorBlock.htm
For my challenge I used a variety of Distress Inks over my tag using a foam applicator. Over that I inked one of Tim Holtz "Papillon" images using Ranger Clear Resist and a Perfect Pearls; Blue Smoke. I inked the butterflies with black ink. Fibers from my stash was added to tag.
The tag has lots of sheen that is not seen in the photo.

Grungy Monday 06, Imagine

Linda from Studio L3 has all the details on her blog for this weeks Grungy Monday challenge from Tim's 12 tags of Christmas 2007, Day 8. I used the paint dabbers I had on hand for the background of this tag.
The supplies I used on this tag: Tim's cage, bird and tag dies, paint dabbers, alcohol inks, idea-olody parts, distress inks, foam with applicator and mini stapler.
I discovered by accident the beautiful colors on this cage. It's a combination of alcohol inks and dabber paints.

Non Tim's Supplies:
Viva Gold paint was used on the Philsolopy tag, fibers, beads and supplies on the bird cage.

Heart Book

Back eight years ago I used a band saw to cut some science books into a half heart. As you can see when open they are a full heart.
I spend at least one week out of the year with my mother. I always fill the car with stamping supplies. Eight years ago, I brought each of use a heart books. We spent every waking moment on our books. Sometimes we would look at the clock and it would be 1 am. Lots of gluing, painting, inking and stamping went into those days. We started on them on Sunday and when I left the following Sunday we had our books almost finished.
I used a lot of metallic paint on these books. Looking back I can see a lot of improvement I've made in my stamping abilities.
I'm ready to start another book, using the new supplies I have in my stash.

Linda over on Studio L3 posted the info on Monday to use one of Tim's techniques for Grungy Monday. This week we are doing 2008 Technique Challenge: http://timholtz.typepad.com/my_weblog/2008/05/may-technique-1.html

"Art is a Shadow of what a person is thinking" is what the stamped image says inside the ornate plate.

I have included one of the technique I have come up with on this tag. I started out doing this technique on ATC over the last week.. This is my first tag using Artists' Oil Crayons with Adirondack Pearl Dabber Paint.
Here is the first step in making this tag:

Apply two colors of Artists' Neopastel Oil Crayons on tag. After applying crayons, place a tissue on your finger and rub the colors to a smooth finish, and then add a thin layer of Adirondack Metallic Pearl Dabber over the oil pastel crayons. Let dry. Ink script from Tim's Papillon stamp with Archival black ink. Important: heat set to dry.

Cut opening into foam and tag front using ruler and craft knife. Adhere tag to foam die cut. Adhere another die cut tag to foam as a backing to adhere butterfly. Die cut butterfly with grungeboard and then paint with black dabber paint. Adhere butterfly with Studio multi-medium matte to base of square opening.

Stamp script with Archival black ink and adhere behind Ornate plate with Studio multi-medium matte as an adhesive. Set ornate plate to front on tag with brads. Add fibers.

Oil Crayons with Pearl ATC

The background portion of this tag was made using Artists' Grade Oil Crayons. Apply two to three oil crayons to cover on smooth finish cardstock and then take a tissue and rub to a smooth finish. Next add Pearl paint over the oil crayons. Let dry. Use Archival black ink to stamp image. Heat set to dry.

Altered Ribbon Spool Challenge

This is an Altered Ribbon Spool I made for a challenge on Outlaw Women Scrapbook Emporium.

The flower was made using TH tattered floral die and Mr. Coffee filters, the leaf die from Quikutz and the box from an empty ribbon spool covered with scrapbook paper. It's just a little over 3 inches wide.

Grundy Monday #3

Over on Studio L3 we celebrate Tim Holtz style by sharing a challenge each week. This week we are using Ranger Adirondack Color Wash. This week Robyn from Outlaw Woman Scrapbook Emporium is the sponsor.

The tag was made using the challenge product sprayed over the bodice of the dress form, inked with Archival black and stamped with script over the Cranberry Color Wash. Inkssentials Enamel Accents black was used on top and base of dress form die cut. To add reinforcement another tag was adhered to back of tag using Zip Dry. Foam pad applicator was used with Distress worn lipstick around edges of tag. Net tooling was gathered to waist of dress form using Zip Dry. Ribbon was wrapped and tied to waist. The dress form die cut was adhered to scrapbook paper. Sentiment was inked with Ranger's Archival black and then highlighted with Distress tattered rose. Elastic was sprayed with a mixture of reinker, perfect pearls and applied to tag.
I looked around my stash and couldn't find anything to add to this tag. So I'm playing it safe this week with the motto: less is more.

We were cleaning out Mil's house after she passed away I found a small stack of time sheet cards. Some have punched holes others have no holes.

Dress Form

I made this tag using Tim's new dress form die. I used corragated cardboard that had a slick finish on the outside, I pulled the slick finish off and kept some of the white paper beneath to add texture to the die cut tag. The tag was inked with a variety of distress inks. And then added clear rock candy distress stickles to paper side of tag. I cut one white matte coat dress form and one grey dress form from cardboard. I rubbed Viva Inka-Gold on base and top of dress form. The white dress form piece was cut and then inked with distress stains and distress inks. I added Tim's paper tape to waist. I added a variety of Ranger products to button until I got the color I liked. Mini-brads were used to attach the button to the tag. A piece of real pattern was applied to tag. The spool of thread was cut with cardboard and left the natural color. I added thread and needle to the spool. I used mini-mister bottle of perfect pearls and distress ink spray on elastic for ribbon.
Lots of Ranger and Tim Holtz products were used on ths tag.

It's finally here; sharing my tag using the techniques for the first Grunge Monday from Studio L3 http://www.studiol3.blogspot.com/ and inspired by Tim Holtz http://www.timholtz.com/
Here is my challenge using the techniques from 2008 12 Days of Christmas but making it my own.

I went over the 200 characters in labels and didn't get to add all the supplies.
Black Embossing powder and heat tool was used on bird. The townscape image was made using a mask from that die.

My Grandparents

This is a card to share on my blog today. The photo of my grandparents was made with an image transfer on mica. The letter is a copy from grandfather to my grandmother. And a copy of their marriage licenses. Key and heart from my stash of supplies.
I love to use my family photos with my projects. My grandparents had this photo made around their first anniversary; they sold a bedroom suite with marble top in exchange for this photo.

We could make a tag, card or 4 x 4". I made a tag; requirments were using two pieces of cardstock, 3 pieces of designer paper, a flourish, 2 brads, distressing my piece, ribbon, button, border and flower. The flower die cut was made from vintage fabric. The sweet little girl image is my stash.

I used both of the techniques found on page 67 for CCC #35 challenge. The black trim below is from Silhouette Digital Machine. Stamp from B Line Designs. The remainder of supplies from Ranger and Tim Holtz. This is the last challenge from Tim's Compendium of Curiosities but not the last time I'll use these techniques. I started in September so I have a few of the techniques to complete and will do those as I have time to do so.

Dimensional Collage Fragments

I've added this tag to Simon Say Stamp Show http://simonsaysstampandshow.blogspot.com/ and All Things Tim yahoo group.
It also fits CCC#34 challenge over on Studio L3 blog.
I had an idea a few days ago but didn't get a chance to get it together until this evening.
I picked hollywood raffia to lace in and out of the cage. The square fragment, die cut, muse token, ball chain, dabber, distress ink, glossy accents, archival ink are from T!M and Ranger.
Other supplies used; scrap from music sheet, previous stamped and cut-out images from IBFS, dollar stamp and a portion of die cut.
I completed this tag using a technique from Tim's book on page 63 and page 33.

CCC#33 Altered Flower

Collage Piece

I was inspired to make this collage from viewing a video from MaryJo McGraw. To make my collage piece I used polymer clay on the mini-frame, rub 'n buff, beesswax, vintage sticker, shoe polish, metallic paint, buttons and rubber stamped images that Frances from Hearts in Touch was inspired to make from old images I sent to her from a 1920's catalog.

Just a Card!

The background was a full page of stamped images. And then cut down into four pieces. The next layer is an inked texture fades emboss piece layered onto a black mat. The girl was inked and then colored with Copic markers. The piece was trimmed and then stapled to background. To finish I adhered to brown folded cardstock.

CCC#31 Rusted Enamel

This is my CCC #31 Rusted Enamel from page 41 for this week's challenge. It would be hard to make two backgrounds alike. That is what I like about this technique. I don't want to give anything away but using the right type of ink pads over the rusted enamel is a must.

Dreams

This is my project made from viewing "The Journey Continues" with Tim Holtz. Supplies and stamps from my stash.
The piece; top right is a soldered piece I made from a card that was reduced. The clock is from an old watch. Game pieces, paint, die cuts and other items were used on this piece. The beeswax used on this piece was purchased from a bee farm. I brought it home and made it into bars to melt in the Suze melting pot by Ranger.
Each 4 x 4" square wood frame was made and covered with white canvas and then hinged together.

CCC #1 Togetherness

I printed off this sweet image from Tim Holtz Distressables Elements. It's from Design Originals. The background was made from one of Tim's techniques; "Water Stamping" page 35 in Compendium of Curiosities. All elements from this page are from Tim Holtz excluding the word Togetherness it's from my magnetic set MM. Page holes made with my Bind-it-All.
I just realize I haven't had a project for this challenge technique so I renamed it CCC #1.
I love this technique, it's one of my favorites in this book.

Old Postcards to Share

My daughter let's me scan old photos, papers, books and post cards from 1800's through 1925 to use in my artwork. Here are a few to share with you. These are from 1900-1911.

My daughter and son in law own Mylissa's Garden Antiques. Several times a year they close their shop and travel to outdoor antique shows; they have gone to Round Top, Texas for many years, Nebraska and Minnesota. Many of these are outdoor shows. Ten months out of the year, they travel to set up at a one day show in Wichita, KS

A few years ago, a television crew did a video showcasing items from some of the antique shops at the Texas show, later some of the items they purchased from my daughter were seen on the Today Show.

Someone from DIY has purchased items from my daughter as well.
