I had fun looking through my button stash and rick-rack to make this card. The little girls are from my vintage stash purchased at a tag sale.
Welcome to my blog! I love to explore mixed media and paper crafting. I love to create for friends and family. Since 1993 I've been sharing card making, paper crafts, sewing and then since 1999 I've made tags, books, artist clay projects, jewelry using mixed-media art supplies that includes acrylic paints, mediums, brushes, rubber stamps, stencils, and more.

Let it Snow!
This Stamps Happen stamped image #80182 is by Janlynn. It was easy to make with just a few colors mixed up on my watercolor palette. This card was finished with a light green mat and red card front. This image has lots of trees, houses, a snowman, a dog, birds, a little child building the snowman, a sleigh and writing in the snow. Let it Snow Let it Snow!
Dancing Flower Faires
I made this card using #90237 Dancing Flower Fairies from http://www.janlynn.com/ I love this stamped image. It was fun to make using watercolor crayons on the Flower Fairies, using a painted background with glitter and a die cut from my Cricut Create tool and cartridge. Glitter from Sulyn was also applied to wings on girl fairy. The glitter really shows up best in my hands than in the photo.

A Bouquet of Flowers
I made this card using one my favorite flowers from Hearts in Touch. The image was inked on white glossy, watercolor with watercolor crayons and cut out. The diamond stamp was inked with Brilliance coffee bean and heat embossed. I used detailed black embossing powder on the quote and heat embossed, mat to black paper, mat to CB embossed card stock and mat to dark blue card stock.
Flower stamp: Hearts in Touch, flower
Quote stamp: Hero Arts
Diamond stamp: Stampers Anonymous
I hope you like it!

Thinking of You
I made this card using designer paper along with flourish stamp for the background. The flower design was inked with Versmark and soft pastels were used to color. Black inkpad on the quote. This card was applied to a folded card. I like the outcome when I trimmed the flower design too close!
Stamp: Gardenia from Inkadinkado (wood mounted)
Flourishes: Autumn Leaves (clear stamps)
Thinking of you: Kathy Davis (clear stamps)
Soft Pastels: Faber-Castell

New Cards
January 31 I left my home to be with my mother for nine days, six of those days were spent at my sisters house {we were house sitting while she was away on a trip to Jamaica}; I took lots of stamping supplies that included a very large suitcase full of supplies and totes full of tools We stamped each day as well as got out and did fun things together. My sister has a large dining table eight feet long. It was covered with plastic and newsprint before we layered it with my stamping stuff. The long counter behind my mother had my Cricut Create, Bind-it-All, Cuttlebug and paper trimmer. Here is a photo of my mother working on a card. She didn't know I was taking the photo until I snapped the camera. Also here are some of the cards I made last week. More cards to follow! Comments Welcome!

Rose Card
A Hearts in Touch stamp was used with the Pallete Stamp & Stick Gluepad that was heat set and soft pastels were applied with a cotton ball.
The red/pink background was made using a TJ technique.
Fiskars punch, corner punch and Starform stickers were used on this card as well.
I've had the gluepad for months I don't know why it took me so long to use it. I love this pad!!

Color Pop
I spent time yesterday playing with my stamps. Here is a card I made from viewing a technique from December/January09 Newsletter for the background behind the gold paper. I uploaded this card to TJ yahoo group and Hearts in Touch yahoo group. I couldn't believe all the response and compliments I have received on this card! So I thought I would share it here on my blog. Thanks for looking!
