Sisters

I have new stamps! This is my first tag using these stamps by Julie Nutting mixed media doll stamps by Prima.

Melange tissue wrap was applied on tag using multi medium matte adhesive followed by distress paints using Tim tutorial on January 2015 tag  http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2015-january/

Paper dresses were made using 6 x 6 paper pad by My Mind's Eye. Flowers are by Prima and Tim Holtz.
I used Tim's industrial stickers along the bottom of tag.
Prima and Paper Studio bling was used on tag.
Distress rock candy glitter by Ranger was used on little girls hair bow. Painted socks, shoes, hair and skin was painted with a water brush and Neocolor II water-soluble color crayons.
Chit-Chat stickers (sweet hearts) was used on my tag. Black soot was applied around each sticker and wiped off. Tim shared this technique on his blog.
Multi-Medium Matte is the adhesive I used on this project.

January 2, 2015

It’s January 2, 2015
I liked my first January tag but thought what if I add silver to all the numbers and see what it looks like.

Here are the results:

Postale tissue wrap was applied with Glue n’ seal on #8 manila tag and then using my finger I applied Chipped sapphire, Broken china and Salty ocean distress paint. A little spray of Brown spray ink was applied over tag with excess wiped off.
I added chitchat, followed by Glue n’ seal over tag and then black soot marker underscoring quotes.
Pumice stone distress glitter was applied to die cut 2015 numbers and then applied to tag.
Watered down Distress white picket paint was used with stiff brush to apply a sprinkle of paint over tag.
Salty ocean and broken china are used to color crinkle ribbon.
A mirrored star was added to tag with glue n' seal.

12 Tags of 2015 ~ January

I was inspired to work New Year's Day on my tag.
Check out Tim's January tag here:

I was inspired by Tim's tutorial to create my own version of 12 tags of 2015 for January. I was happy to see I had many of the supplies Tim used for this tag. I will say, I got a little too aggressive with the sprinkles of gold distress as my final step, and the tag went a little dark. I used a little splatter tool that I bought the first year I started stamping twenty-two years ago.
Here is the start of my tag;
Postale tissue tape was applied to my #8 manila tag with glue n' seal. I used broken china, salty ocean and brushed pewter distress paint over the tag with my fingers. Brown sprays were added, wiped off extra and then heat set.
Chitchat quotes were applied to my tag. Then followed by glue n' seal over the tag.
I followed Tim's tutorial up to adding my 2015.
In my stash I have word play bigz XL die, this is what I used for my embellishments.
2015 was die cut using Tim's grunge board and then painted with tarnished brass distress paint. Distress glitter was added to tag using glossy accents as an adhesive. A recent purchase of mirrored star was added to my tag with Glue n' Seal.
Crinkle ribbon was used with gold spray ink from my stash to finish my tag.
Tools I used: craft sheet, scissors, shears, sanding grip and heat tool.

Finished New Year's Day
