Everything I made last week from Creative Chemistry 103

I used the piece above to cover an empty roll from a commercial tissue paper. These can be saved if you know someone that does commercial cleaning. You can find my tutorial here: http://wwwstampedimpressions.blogspot.com/2016/08/creative-chemistry-103-distress-paint.html

Creative Chemistry 103 Day 2

I made this tag today using the same technique from Day 2 with Distress Paint Resist Technique Tim Holtz shares on Creative Chemistry 103. I love the results of this technique. This is my twentieth tag or project posted on my blog since I started Tim's classes this month.

Here is how I finished my tag using TH crazy cat and TH happy birthday die cuts. I think it still needs something else. Maybe crazy cat holding a balloon!

Creative Chemistry 103 ~ Day 5 "Thanks"

Tim Holtz shared how to do a technique using Yupo and Alcohol Inks on Day 5 Creative Chemistry 103.
This piece of Yupo was only 2" and instead of tossing it in the trash, I decided to make it into a tag today.
I added a piece of black card-stock under the alcohol inked piece, and then applied to a finished tag that was inked with distress inks.
TH "thanks" die cut was added to tag and then distress inked trim was added to the tag.

Thanks, Tim for all the nice techniques from Creative Chemistry 103.

Creative Chemistry 103 ~ Distress Paint Resist Technique

I choose the Distress Paint Resist Technique from Day 2 on Creative Chemistry 103 to make a holder for my Distress Crayons.

To begin, I covered the bottom of a cardboard tissue roll with canvas. It was done using a canvas circle larger than the bottom of each roll. Next, use heavy duty glue to bring up from the sides and set to cover bottom. Fit to sides and set aside to dry.

I followed Tim's technique from Day 2 to make a cover piece, and then apply the cover piece to the roll using an adhesive and matching up to fit container.
I made this container for my 18 Distress Crayons.

Today, was productive, I used canvas to cover the bottom of four tissue rolls.
Finished size of this tissue roll 4" tall x 3 1/2" wide.

Day 5 Alcohol Ink and Yupo Techniques

It is day five of Creative Chemistry 103. Today, Tim's lesson is all about Alcohol inks. I had a lot of fun working with my Alcohol Inks today. I made seven samples from his six videos.

The first two sample tags are from Alcohol ink Stamped Resist on Yupo Technique.

Below is my third sample tag, I used Tim's technique; Alcohol Ink Texture Resist on Yupo. This is my favorite of the three I'm sharing with you today. I'll finished all my sample pieces after class is over.

Below is my fourth sample, I used Tim's technique Alcohol Ink Splattered Floral Technique. I made three of these and they all turned out different.

I had a lot of fun playing with my Alcohol inks today.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Come back tomorrow to see what I've created from viewing Tim's lessons in Creative Chemistry 103!
Thanks for stopping by and have a nice day!

Distress Crayon Watercolor Technique ~ Day 4

I made two examples viewing Jennifer McGuire's video on Distress Crayon Watercolor Technique from Creative Chemistry 103.
Jennifer shares how to smudge and blend to create beautiful flowers.

Day 4 ~ Creative Chemistry 103

I was thrilled when I heard Tim say he was going to shares techniques with the Distress Crayons today. I bought my three sets back in March and only had one chance to use them before I had a heart attack, CPR compressions, pneumonia, and asthma and ended up in the hospital and rehab 20 days.

Tim has lots of videos today and
Jennifer McGuire has one video on a study in color! I'll share my example of flowers in the next blog post.
By the time I get through all these techniques this week I'll have lots of backgrounds to complete.

Day 3 ~ Creative Chemistry 103

These techniques are some of Tim's favorite techniques. Distress Collage Medium and Textures. Here are two of my tags for Day 3 of Creative Chemistry 103!

The  next tag was made using Tim's technique called Coloring Texture Paste. I'll update the post when I finish this tag.

Distress Collage Medium was used to apply die-cut flowers over Paste Embossing Technique for Day 3 of Creative Chemistry 103! I plan on finishing this tag when I have more time.

Day 3 Layered Collage Technique

Tim shared more technique tags with Day 3 lessons. A few guest artist share how they created a project using Tim's techniques.
This is my take on Layered Collage Technique as one of my examples.
More tags will be added as I get them done.

I had fun making this tag, it's called Stain Rub Resist Technique

And my last tag for Day 2 is called Distress Paint Lifting Technique.
I finished the tag using a TH Flower die-cut and TH big chat words.

Creative Chemistry 103 ~ Day 1

I'm taking the Creative Chemistry 103 class presented by Tim Holtz.
Every morning this week, Tim delivers loads of videos with new techniques I haven't seen before. After each video Tim himself or a guest artist shares an example of each finished technique.

I'll be sharing a few of my examples here on my blog.

This technique is called; Highlight Stamping

The next technique is called: Distress Off-Set Stamping
I finished the example into a card.

It's not too late for you to join in with the online classes.
