It's been a while since I've been on Stamped Impressions. I barely have any time to do what I loved to do, sometimes life just in the way of having fun.
From 2009 to 2022 I lived for stamping, cutting diecutting, booking masking, card making, artwork and more. It all changed in 2022 when we moved down to be close to my mother. Then she passed away last year, and then my dear husband had a stroke during a surgery and this has added to my stress.
My dear sweet mother passed away last year on September 1, 2025. She was going to be 100 in 6 weeks and was looking forward to celebrating her big day. I guess God had other plans and our mother had a stroke during the night and never woke up.
All of these bears are made with my mother's clothes. Each bear is approx. 161/2 " - 17" from head to toe.
The last 15 or so years she liked painting on wood projects. So much of her clothes had specks of paint on them. Most of these bears has little specks of paint and my family is thrilled to had the paint on the bears. I sure a little glue is on the jeans and knit tops she liked to wear as well.
My mother made over 75 handmade books.
I have included ribbon around the necks of all the bears before giving them out to our family. I've made 13 bears and have three more ready to sew up.
